Fagiolata Sugo Sauce with _____

Fagiolata Sugo Sauce seems to be the most misunderstood sauce of the bunch because it has beans in it. Beans are common in Italian cuisine and have shown up in traditional recipes for hundreds of years. They are special because they offer plant based options without compromising nutrition and protein. Fagiolata has done all the bean prep and flavouring for you so all you need to do is heat it up and mix with short pasta like Tubetti for a classic northern "Pasta e fagioli", scooped on top of a crusty thick piece of toast or in a bowl with a piece of rosemary focaccia  on the side for dipping. The recipe below is the most simple way of eating Sugo Sauce Fagiolata.

INGREDIENTS

Jar/pouch of Fagiolata Sugo Sauce
Focaccia or thick bread
2 tblsp of fresh grated hard salty cheese
 

PROCESS

• Heat Fagiolata in sauce pan or microwave

• Cut desired pieces of focaccia

• Fill 2-4 shallow bowls with Fagiolata

• Dust Fagiolata with grated cheese

• Serve with focaccia on the side

Suggestions
• Add some greens with fresh kale or arugula on top wilted slightly by the steam coming off
• Make a fresh focaccia with fresh sage and butter on it (like in photo above)
